Returns:

We accept returns on new, unopened Strategy Skincare products. Simply return the item with a print out of your order information included within 10 days of receiving. Please allow up to 7-10 business days for your refund to be processed.

Retinol and retinal (retinaldehyde) are compounds derived from vitamin A that are converted into retinoic acid once absorbed by the skin in order to receive its collagen-building benefits. Retinal is one step closer to the pure retinoic acid form of vitamin A, making it the most bio-available form of retinoid. Uniquely, any excess retinal that the skin does not use is also converted into retinyl esters — our skin’s natural storage form of vitamin A. It is then used as needed by the skin in low doses over a period of time.

We developed The A Retinal Serum with sensitive skin in mind yet without compromising on results. Retinal’s ability to store and slowly release excess vitamin A as needed reduces the risk of skin irritation associated with traditional retinol. The retinal (retinaldehyde) derivative of vitamin A that is found in Strategy Skin’s The A Retinal Serum is a safe alternative to traditional retinoids during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Due to retinal’s high level of bioavailability, we are able to use low enough quantities to deem The A Retinal Serum safe for use during pregnancy, delivering well below the recommended 2500IU of vitamin A per day when adhering to application directions while still achieving exemplary results.  

*If you have just become pregnant or started breastfeeding, we always advise doing a small patch test 24 hours prior to using The A Retinal Serum as pregnancy’s accompanying hormonal shifts can trigger temporary skin sensitivities that were previously not normal for the individual.
